• New renters within the city are eligible to receive a $2,400 allowance toward the cost of their residence in the first year, and $1,200 towards the cost of their residence in the second year.
• Existing renters within the city are eligible for an allowance of $1,200 over one year when an existing lease is renewed.

All applicants must be employed by Urban Science and are required to acknowledge their understanding of the income and subsequent tax withholdings related to their participation in the Live Detroit program.

The Live Detroit program is effective beginning November 8, 2011, and only lease agreements initiated or renewed after this date will be eligible.
